Nature’s Romance

begin reading

take a breath · read slowly

For you, I have waited, my love
So many winters… so many summers
So long… so far into time
Days have passed; I have aged
Now, the time has come
For me to depart home

Part of me lingers here
Part of me lingers there
Forever, my mind is
Trapped wherever you are

I shall leave, for that is your wish
You have made me a circle indeed
I may become the dust of stars
For you have told me
That is what you wish for me

A reality from the eternal dream
Now the time has come, so be it
At last, I have touched you once more
This is the time that I shall become
the dust that sparks the life once more

I may not be there in that
But life shall go without an end
I myself had vanished by then, but
My love for you shall linger
Little more than that of my existence
